Lightrail systems are versatile and functional illuminated handrails, suitable for interior or exterior guardrails and stair or ramp railings. They project light precisely where it is needed and are available with asymmetrical or symmetrical light distribution patterns. Lightrail may be wall or post mounted, and matching non-illuminated railings are offered for each model. The systems are specifically designed and fabricated for every installation, and is listed as Suitable for Wet Locations by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.
Lightrail is engineered to withstand the abuse of most public areas. Design features comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and other applicable codes. The high impact acrylic lenses are housed within heavy extruded aluminum rails. All rails are welded at mitered intersections for strength and durability. Modified or custom Lightrail designs are also available.

There are five models of Lightrail available, each with distinct characteristics. The newest model, LR 5, is only 1.9 inches in diameter and uses the T5 fluorescent lamps. This size meets the ADA grip area size requirement and therefore does not require a separate griprail to be in compliance.
