TracePro is a comprehensive, versatile software tool for modeling the propagation of light in day lighting, sunlight redirection and solar simulation of structures and rooms. Use the built-in CAD interface to create any interior or exterior scene or import the scene from almost any CAD system. The user can create and or use the existing surface and material property databases to apply paints, materials and surface properties to complete the model. TracePro solar source definition and macro capability allow the user to simulate the sun as it moves across the sky propagating solar radiation as rays through the simulated model. During simulation the program allocates flux based on the material and surface property definitions based on index of refraction, absorption, specular reflection and transmission, fluorescence and scattering.

In any model the user can output illuminance, angular, color, optical efficiency, luminance and radiance plots for both Day lighting and Architectural Lighting applications. TracePro’s output includes visualization of the propagated rays and 3D illuminance plots showing light as it propagates through the model in the system view.
