For larger size LED fixtures or light sources with higher flux levels the BTS256-LED tester can be combined with a large size integrating sphere.
Large size integrating spheres increase the application range of the BTS256-LED tester.
Bayonet mount adapts BTS256-LED tester to the integrating sphere.
Large Size Integrating Spheres
Gigahertz-Optik offers a range of integrating spheres with sphere diameters from 210mm up to 1000mm. Four kinds of spheres are available:
•Integrating spheres (2π) for spot lamps
•Integrating spheres (4π) for bulb type lamps which measure the test source inside the sphere
•All-purpose integrating spheres for bulb (4π) and spot (2π) lamps
The BTS256-LED tester attaches to the integrating sphere by its bayonet type adapter. This offers the flexibility to use the device by itself or combined with other accessory parts depending on the application.
Auxiliary Lamps for Self-Absorption Correction
All integrating spheres are supplied with auxiliary lamps to compensate for the self-absorption of the test sample (substitution error correction). The auxiliary lamp can be manually operated with other lamp power supplies or under remote control operation with Gigahertz-Optik’s BTS256-LED-ALP power supply. Either way the substitution error correction routine is supported by the S-BTS software supplied. The software also controls all measurement functions with the add-on sphere.
