- LOTO Lighting provides a remote controlled technology that is robust and simple to use. The product is inspired by founder Tom Devlin's work at the Royal College of Art in London in 1989 where he created computer controlled display lighting.
It seemed like an obvious solution for retail space and galleries to have lighting that could be re-directed with remote control. However, the technical hurdles made it difficult for this to be accepted. "Lighting companies are not motor companies," he concluded.
When laser pointers became commonplace, there was an opportunity to develop a simplified control scheme using a precise beam of light. Years of development later, LOTO Lighting now offers enhanced fixtures that are affordable.
The mission of LOTO Lighting is make remote control the obvious choice for all display spaces. The patented technology of 'directional selection followed by omni-directional control' is now available to the for all types of lighting.
