B-K Lighting has a long standing partnership with the IALD promoting industry standards, better products and furthering education within the lighting industry.
We recently had the pleasure of meeting up with two of the IALD's representatives, Jessica Burke and Ashley Robbins at the American Institute of Architects National Convention and Exposition in Denver.

B-K Lighting is a board member of the Lighting Industry Resource Council (formed in 1996) with President Ron Naus representing the company. The purpose of the LIRC is to promote communication between professional lighting designers and those who manufacturer equipment. LIRC also develops communication between those working within the lighting industry, improve products, formulate business practices and perhaps most importantly, advance lighting design education.
B-K Lighting + TEKA Illumination believe in the mission of the LIRC and continue to support their many educational programs. B-K Lighting is also a Gold Level Sponsor of the IALD's Enlighten Americas 2013 trade show. The convention is being held October 3 – 5, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Montreal, in Montreal, Canada. Presenters will discuss many very interesting topics that include cultural rhythms of light, social history of lighting, fallacious photometric data sheets, specs and more.
